Our Material

Recycled 14K to 18K Solid Gold

Solid gold is a precious metal that will not oxidize or discolor. We use both recycled 14K or 18K for our jewellery. The 14K alloy gives our pieces subtle hue, and the 18K alloy gives bold look. They are both either finished with gold vermeil, or rhodium plating. We will stamped our jewellery with the industry standards, either in “14K” / “585” or “18K” / “750” except for our thin jewellery. We prioritize recycled gold but ensure any new, responsibly mined gold is traceable to certified suppliers.

Recycled Sterling Silver

925 sterling silver is a high-quality silver alloy that contains 92.5% pure silver and 7.5% other metals, usually copper. It is a durable and lustrous material commonly used in jewelry making. The “925” stamp on sterling silver indicates its purity, making it a popular choice for those seeking high-quality and long-lasting jewelry pieces.

Gold Vermeil

Our gold vermeil jewellery is a popular choice for those seeking high-quality and elegant pieces. Unlike regular gold plating, our vermeil involves a thick layer of 14 or 18 karat gold over a durable sterling silver base, with a thickness of 1 to 2.5 microns. This results in a luxurious and long-lasting gold finish, while also remaining affordable. All of our vermeil jewelry is stamped with “925” to indicate its sterling silver base. To enhance its durability, we apply a protective e-coating, so that it can withstand everyday wear and tear and is more resistant to tarnishing.

Recycled Stainless Steel and Titanium

Stainless steel with PVD gold plating (vaccuum coating) and titanium are durable and high-quality materials used in jewellery making. PVD gold plating involves a process of coating stainless steel with a thin layer of gold, resulting in a long-lasting and scratch-resistant finish. Titanium, on the other hand, is a lightweight and corrosion-resistant metal often used in high-end jewellery pieces. When combined, these materials create stunning and durable jewelry that is perfect for everyday wear.

Eco Brass

Our Eco-brass jewellery is a sustainable alternative to traditional brass and suitable for sensitive skin. Made from recycled materials, nickel-free, our eco-brass jewellery is at least 1 micron real 14 or 18 karat gold/ rhodium plated. To enhance its durability, we apply a protective e-coating, so that it can withstand everyday wear and tear and is more resistant to tarnishing, making it a great investment piece for those looking for a much more affordable jewellery that will last longer than usual.

Rhodium

Eco-friendly or sustainable rhodium efforts are being made within the jewellery industry to promote responsible sourcing and production practices. Some companies are exploring methods to recycle and recover rhodium from various sources, reducing the need for new mining. Additionally, advancements in technology aim to minimise the environmental impact of rhodium plating processes, such as improving efficiency and reducing waste and chemical usage. While eco rhodium options are emerging, it’s important to research and seek out jewellers who prioritise sustainable practices and transparency in their supply chain. By supporting these initiatives, consumers can contribute to a more environmentally conscious approach to rhodium plating in the jewellery industry.

Our Ceramic, Enamel and Resin

Ceramic

Ceramics are highly resilient materials formed by molding mixtures of clay, earthen elements, powders, and water into the desired shapes. After molding, the ceramics are subjected to a high-temperature firing process in a kiln. A glaze, a waterproof paint-like coating, is often applied to the ceramics to enhance their durability and appearance.

Enamel

Enameling is an artistic process where a glossy substance, usually glass-based, is applied to metal or other hard surfaces. Instead of traditional glass-based enamel, we use cold enamel, also known as epoxy resin enamel, which is more durable and resistant to chipping caused by regular use.

Resin

Resin is a versatile material that has become increasingly popular in various industries, including jewellery making. Resin is a type of polymer that can be molded into different shapes and forms, making it ideal for creating unique and customized jewellery designs. Resin is also an eco-friendly option for those looking for sustainable and ethical jewellery. Many resin materials are non-toxic and can be recycled or reused, making them an environmentally conscious choice.

Our Diamonds, Gemstones and Pearls

Responsibly-Sourced Diamonds and Lab Grown Diamonds

Responsibly-sourced diamonds are extracted from mines that prioritize ethical and sustainable practices while ensuring safe and fair labor conditions, and we only use Kimberly Process compliant diamonds. We also use lab-grown diamonds are created in a controlled environment that mimics the conditions in which natural diamonds form. They are an eco-friendly and sustainable alternative to mined diamonds. Both responsibly-sourced and lab-grown diamonds offer a beautiful and ethical option for those looking for sustainable and socially responsible jewellery.
